Upwork Reply Watcher
A personal tool that tells its owner when someone replies to a job application he has sent.
This application is built and used by one person for his own work. It is not a product, it has no other users, and it is not offered to anyone else. Its only job is to notice replies that arrive in the owner's own mailbox and let him know about them, so that a client's answer is not missed.
What it does
- Reads the owner's own Gmail mailbox through the Gmail API, using
read-only access (
gmail.readonly). - Looks only at incoming messages from the freelance platforms the owner works on
(currently
upwork.comandfiverr.com), and only at recent ones. - Recognises which of those messages are replies related to his own job applications.
- Sends the owner a private notification about such a message, in his own private chat.
What it does not do
- It does not send, reply to, modify, label or delete any email. Automatic replying is disabled, and the access it holds does not permit sending in the first place.
- It does not sell or share Google user data with anyone.
- It does not use Gmail data for advertising, and shows no ads.
- It does not profile users, and it does not build audiences or interest categories.
- It does not read mail belonging to anyone other than its owner. There is no second user.
- It does not train any model on Gmail data.
Who runs it
The application is operated by a single individual — its developer and its only user. It runs on a private server that he alone controls. There is no company, no team and no third party involved.
Privacy
The Privacy Policy explains exactly which Google user data the application reads, why it reads it, what is kept, what is not kept, and how to have it removed.
